Here is my theory on this course … and reason I give you so little help with assignments, there is no book for the course, etc
When a child is born, he or she is a dumb life form. They can’t speak (talk), understand (hear), recognize (see), transport (move).
But they learn this - with no books, no lectures, no hand holding; they do this by absorbing information from their environment, identifying patterns, and at the same time, the body physically becomes stronger for them to become independent in their motions, movements, etc.
Same is the case with E-Commerce - I can’t teach you. I told you day 1. I can only throw ideas and concepts and products at you, expose you to the ecosystem, and then the rest is up to you. I am trying to do that in bits and pieces as a child must learn to sit and then crawl and then walk and then run.
And that’s the idea beyond progressively giving tougher assignments, reading assignments, etc.
Imagine a child, who right after birth, gets pirate-like patches attached on the eyes to keep them from seeing, ear-plugs to stop them from hearing, mouth-tape to stop them from saying. Will this child grow at same pace as normal? No, because they have been cut-off from the ecosystem.
So my job is to provide you with some ecosystem. Rest is up to you.
Please read. Read the specific things I’ve asked you to, and research all topics we cover in the class.
This is important for you to ‘grow’. And also for your exams because half the exam will be based on how much you know about the ecosystem. And 1 evening before the mid-term won’t be enough for this course. Just like you cannot keep a child tied for 364 days and on 365th day expect them to walk. It takes on average 365 days to learn walking, a little bit every day. Thats nature. Same is E-Commerce. Or so I think so.
(BTW - this is not my theory - this is an E-Commerce adaptation from Maria Montessori’s book)
Good luck.
